Studio Experience
My purpose-built home studio has everything needed to photograph pregnancy, newborns, babies, toddlers, and families. There’s even a kitchenette so you can make yourself a drink and relax while my assistant and I take care of photographing your baby or family.
Below you’ll find everything you need to know — from booking your session through to collecting your finished products.
Booking your session
Our studio is open Monday to Friday, 9am–3pm. If your children are school-aged, we often recommend making the day extra special by taking them out of school — this not only creates a fun memory, but children are usually more enthusiastic and engaged during the session.
If school hours aren’t suitable, we also offer limited Saturday availability and school holidays slots.
To book, simply fill out the enquiry form, and we will be in touch to talk you through how the session works and help you choose the perfect time.
Before your session
Once your session is booked, you’ll receive an email with everything you need — from preparation tips and what to wear, to hair, makeup, and the studio address.
If you’re unsure about clothing, feel free to bring a few options — we’ll decide together what photographs best. For newborn sessions, you’re welcome to do your hair or makeup at the studio while we settle your baby.
And don’t worry if you’re not feeling your best — we’ll guide you into flattering angles, and the focus is usually on your little one.
The session
We do everything we can to make your session as relaxed and enjoyable as possible — for both the children and the parents. Tea and coffee are available, and we keep a selection of toys and books on hand to keep little ones entertained when they’re not in front of the camera.
Children usually find the session fun and engaging — we’ll play, chat, and even sing their favourite songs if they enjoy music. For newborn sessions, the studio is kept warm (between 24–29 degrees) so your baby stays cosy and comfortable throughout.
The length of your session will depend on the type you’ve booked. Most sessions run between 1–2 hours.
Purchasing Appointment
Your purchasing appointment takes place 30 minutes after your session — no need to come back another day. Please ensure all decision-makers are present.
While we do a quick edit, you can enjoy a tea or coffee or take a short walk. Purchased images will then receive a full professional edit.
At your appointment, you’ll view your beautiful photographs and choose how best to display them in your home. We offer albums, frames, and canvas, with each printed product including the matching digital file for sharing online.
Product Collection
Any digital files that you have ordered will be delivered via an emailed link within two weeks of your viewing appointment.
Products such as canvas and frames must be collected from our studio as we want to know that you are receiving the goods in perfect condition.
These will be ready for collection 4-6 weeks after your viewing appointment depending on the product you order. You will be notified via email as soon as everything is ready to collect.
